For King & Country and Rebecca St. James are two of the most renowned Christian singers in the music industry. Each of them has had several popular Christian albums and has also won numerous awards throughout both of their careers.

Now, their life journey can be seen on the big screen and everyone will enjoy this highly moving and inspirational journey.

Based on the remarkable true story, ‘Unsung Hero’ follows David Smallbone as he moves his family from Down Under to the States, searching for a brighter future after his successful music company collapses.

With nothing more than their seven children, suitcases and their love of music, David and his pregnant wife Helen set out to rebuild their lives. Helen’s faith stands against all odds and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs.

With their own dreams on hold, David and Helen begin to realize the musical prowess in their children, who would go on to become two of the most successful acts in Inspirational Music history.: five-time Grammy award-winning artists For King & Country and Rebecca St. James.

‘Unsung Hero’ is a highly inspirational film that the whole family should go see! The latest faith-based film from the Kingdom Story Company production company delivers quite a few moving moments and during this family’s journey, you’ll see what an entire family will do to help during the hardest of times.

Even if you’re not really familiar with either For King & Country or Rebecca St. James, you will still enjoy this film. Joel Smallbone, who is also a member of For King & Country, brought his family’s journey to life on the big screen. And, quick side note — Joel Smallbone also portrays his father David Smallbone.

With most of the family slowly losing their faith when things are getting difficult, the strength of the mother (Helen) is what holds things together. Some of the moments where we see Helen trying to keep the faith and trying to stay strong for the family is quite moving.

The overall theme of family banding together to face adversity and hardships will leave you feeling a little emotional. This powerful faith-based film also dives into not losing hope or faith, no matter how tough things can get. And towards the final moments of the film, there are quite a few tear-jerking moments. So, get those tissues ready!

So, for a family movie night out, do make sure to check out this incredibly inspirational film on the big screen at the Dietrich!
