*** THIS IS A SHORTER THAN USUAL TAKE FOR THIS FILM. WHEN THE FORGE IS AVAILABLE ON STREAMING, I WILL GIVE THIS ANOTHER WATCH AND WORK ON A MORE THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE FILM!***
During the week that The Forge was showing on the big screen at the local theater, I decided to give it a look ... and I'm glad I did!
The Forge really stands out with its powerful story-telling, incredible messages and moments of unwavering faith. The film's story really captures your attention and I really enjoy the themes that the film centers on, such as themes of redemption, perseverance and the trans-formative power of faith.
There are several heart-felt moments and the cast's performances really help those moments come alive. The Forge is truly inspiring and is one of the most endearing films I have seen this year. As stated above, once the film is available on streaming, I will give it another watch and do a more throughout review down the road!
This is the first Kendricks Brothers film where characters from earlier film (War Room) appear.
The Forge marks the Kendricks Brothers' ninth film and the sixth through their subsidiary, Kendrick Brothers Productions. Their initial five films were created under Sherwood Productions.
In November 2023, it was revealed that the Christian film had completed principal photography from June to July in Albany, Georgia.
