Orion and the Dark is the first team up of DreamWorks Animation and Netflix. This is actually one of those streaming releases that would've done alright on the big screen!

Throughout this animated feature, we get to see quite a few likable, interesting characters. This movie, which is geared for the younger viewing audience, can actually help the kids not be so afraid of the dark. The kids will easily relate to the Orion character who has a big fear of the dark ... and well just about everything else.

The Dark character is also a nice little surprise and does a good job showing Orion and the young viewing audience that you don't have to be so scared of the dark. The side characters (Sweet Dreams, Light, Insomnia, Unexplained Noises, Sleep, Quiet) also have some really cool moments and you get to see their life consists of. The animation, just like other DreamWorks Animation projects, is also incredible.

So, if you and the little ones are looking for a movie to check out for a family movie night, I highly recommend checking out Orion and the Dark streaming on Netflix.
