Mending the Line is a film that I've always wanted to check out. At first, I tried to check it out during a previous film festival. But, I didn't get to it due to some time constraints. Not to long ago, the local theater had a free screening of Mending the Line and finally had the chance to watch it and wanted to give my own quick thoughts for this film.
Mending the Line is an outstanding independent film that is an absolute must see! This film gives you a genuine, honest look at the struggles of someone going through PTSD. There are a few moments where we will some of the characters going through it that will likely be too much for anyone who has gone through it.
We also get to follow some people in the film that do seem broken and, after awhile, come together on their long individual journey. There are quite a few tense emotional moments that can have you shed a tear or two. Actor Wes Studi, who portrays a friend of Ike (played by a great Brian Cox) breaks the tension with some funny humor.
If you want to check out this film and haven't gotten a chance to see it on the big screen, you can stream Mending the Line on Netflix!!
