In the summer of 1993, dinosaurs were brought back to life in the blockbuster smash hit “Jurassic Park.” Critics and audiences everywhere enjoyed the flick and the movie ultimately became one of the most memorable movie experiences ever.

In the Universal Pictures presentation of “Jurassic Park,” paleontologists Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler and mathematician Ian Malcolm are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA.

While the park’s mastermind billionaire, John Hammond, assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

“Jurassic Park” has been entertaining audiences everywhere for almost thirty one years. The adventure flick will still amaze you with the incredible visual effects that the movie offers. To this day, this 1993 movie can still beat out quite a few movies for having some of the best visual effects ever seen on screen. There are quite a few moments that will give audiences a bit of a thrill, especially with the dinosaur chases. The numerous dinosaur chases are incredible and there are even a few laughs scattered about to break the tension a bit. If you haven’t had the chance to see the original “Jurassic Park” on the big screen, then you finally will have your chance. With some terror-filled moments, amazing visual effects and lots of fun, don’t miss “Jurassic Park” on the big screen!

The cast: Sam Neill (JW: Dominion) as Grant, Laura Dern (JW: Dominion) as Ellie, Jeff Goldblum (Dominion) as Malcolm, Bob Peck as Muldoon, Martin Ferrero (Gods and Monsters) as Gerraro, BD Wong (CWs Gotham; Jurassic World: Dominion) as Dr. Henry Wu, Joseph Mazzello (Bohemian Rhapsody) as Tim, Ariana Richards (Tremors 3) as Lex, Wayne Knight as Nedry, Samuel L. Universal Pictures acquired the film rights to the “Jurassic Park” novel in May 1990, months before the novel was initially published. Shortly after the release of the novel and movie, they both generated so much interest in dinosaurs that the study of paleontology has had a record increase in students. Spielberg oversaw the post-production of this movie via video link while in Poland filming “Schindler’s List.” There is only fifteen minutes of dinosaur footage in this movie: nine minutes are animatronics and six minutes are CGI.

Over the years, “Jurassic Park” has frequently been cited by film critics and industry professionals as one of the greatest movies of the action and thriller genre. On June 13, 2001, the American Film Institute named the movie the 35th most thrilling film of all time. After the release of the third “Jurassic Park” movie, the series took a little break and came back in a big way with the 2015 release of “Jurassic World.” The sixth movie in the franchise, “Jurassic World: Dominion,” is currently streaming on STARZ.

“Jurassic Park” was initially released on June 11, 1993. With incredible reviews, the movie went on to earn $402.8 million domestically and $1.03 billion worldwide.
