‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ Delivers Lots of Visually-Stunning Action
In 2014, the MonsterVerse franchise was launched and everyone was re-introduced to the one and only Godzilla. The reviews were fairly positive and 2014s ‘Godzilla’ became a huge hit. Two more exciting installments later came about: 2017s ‘Kong: Skull Island’ and 2019s ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters.’
Now, the two biggest titans of the series - Godzilla and Kong - will finally face off on the big screen in one of the most anticipated (and eagerly awaited) movies recently released.
In the Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures presentation of ‘Godzilla vs. Kong,’ legends collide as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond.
But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans - instigated by unseen forces - is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.
‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ is a fun, action-packed movie that will definitely leave you extremely entertained. The Godzilla/Kong flick does an outstanding job with the full-on action sequences that feature the two monster legends. These action scenes are visually stunning and the epic monster battles get you hooked right at the start. The Hollow Earth sequences that are also feature are visually well-done and can be quite mysterious.
In between the explosive action, the human characters are busy figuring out why the clash between the two titans is happening and why Godzilla is going off the rails. There are a couple moments during the human scenes that can slow the movie down a tad. But, that definitely won’t ruin the fun you’ll have watching this! One of the most intriguing segments of the movie involves the little girl and how she can communicate with the mighty Kong.
Overall, ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ is a don’t miss movie event! The visually-stunning, action-packed movie will easily keep you glued to the screen and at the end, it makes you wonder what is next in store with the series.

‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ is written by Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok; the upcoming Black Widow) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla; Kong: Skull Island) and directed by Adam Wingard (Netflix’s Death Note; Blair Witch; You’re Next).
A movie featuring both Godzilla and Kong has been in development since 2015. In September 2015, Legendary Pictures (the production company behind the MonsterVerse) moved the 2017 movie ‘Kong: Skull Island’ from Universal to Warner Bros., which sparked the speculation that a Godzilla/Kong feature would eventually happen. This will be the first movie in 59 years to feature both of these monstrous characters, after the 1963 release ‘King Kong vs. Godzilla.’
Like most movies, ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ was delayed multiple times. The movie was theatrically released internationally on March 24, and then domestically a week later (March 31).
‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of creature violence/destruction and brief language and has a running time of 113 minutes.
